Rob is currently the Head of Acting and Directing at Michigan State University. He has directed numerous theatrical and film productions. As an award-winning educator, he has served on numerous faculties teaching varied classes in many disciplines. He also has been working on several exciting projects as writer and educator. Rob comes to Michigan State University directly from New York City where he served as the National Outreach and Education Coordinator for Actors' Equity Association (the union for Actors and Stage Managers.) during his time there he created numerous nationally-accepted programs and materials used for prospective and established members of the 45,000 member union. As an actor, Rob has appeared at the Long Wharf Theatre, the Goodspeed Opera House and the Pittsburgh Public Theatre as well as numerous off-Broadway productions. He was an original cast member of the New York and Los Angeles productions of the long-running musical I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change and can be heard on the recording of that show. He has co-directed and written several award-winning short and feature-length films. He has directed many musicals and plays of varying styles nationally. As an educator, Rob served on the faculty of Manhattan Marymount College, the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, SUNY/Stony Brook and Stephens College where he received the "Distinguished Teaching Award" conferred by both students and faculty.
